Construction News

September 2007:  Construction anticipated to resume in Summer 2008.

August 2007:  Little Rock Air Force Base recently released a Housing Requirements and Market Analysis (HRMA) that decreases the number of “on-base” homes to 659.  Little Rock Air Force Base and Little Rock Family Housing must meet to determine how the construction plan and funding will have to change to reflect the new requirements.

May 2007:  Construction at Little Rock Family Housing has ceased.  To date, LRFH has 25 new homes on Minnesota and Mississippi; and 3 renovated homes.

November 2006:  Little Rock Family Housing welcomes 3 new families into the Phase III prototypes

August 2006:  Production construction of homes in Phase II and demolition of homes in Phase III begins.  We thank all of the residents and Little Rock Air Force Base for contributing to the designs of these homes. The resulting homes exceed the Air Force standards and more importantly, exceed our families’ dreams. 

March 2006.  Town Hall Center, located at the intersection of Arkansas Blvd and Iowa Circle, opens to all residents and their families. Town Hall construction began on 2 May 2005. (Artist's Rendering).

January 2006:  The new town hall is occupied by the development arm of Little Rock Family Housing.

August 2005:  The first phase of new home construction began August 1st, 2005. In this phase (Phase 2) 198 homes on Minnesota, Mississippi and Missouri will be demolished and rebuilt with new 3- and 4-bedroom homes . We expect to cut the ribbon on the first three prototypes in 2006.
