Painting on Wood
Once your wood furniture prepared to perfection (stripping, cleaning, sanding), should you start to paint, whether you are new to art, or that you have already untied hand, here are some tips to make your first creation.
Materials needed for painting wood furniture
- A large flat brush
- Watercolor brushes of different sizes depending on the reasons for painting. In Marten preference, even if they are more expensive. In the area of brushes, the price always depends on the quality.
- Acrylic paint for decoration, a big pot for the bottom, and small pots (100 ml) for the reasons.
- Casein painting for decorating the old to the mat authentic.

The primer
Whether acrylic and casein paint the bottom must be applied in thin layers, relatively liquid, with a flat brush. Feel free to dilute it well, even if it means putting 3 layers, so there is no trace of brush. Let dry between coats. Beware of clusters in the corners and trim. Use a fine brush for the corners. If you want to render “mirror”, use a paint roller coated, but it is not recommended for furniture with a lot of cuts, edges, etc.
Draw the patterns on your furniture
If you are new to painting, decal your designs with a pencil very fat, to not mark or scratch the bottom, use a cotton swab or make it yourself by setting the cotton tip of a pencil, for example.
If you are already skilled, just put your designs with a rough chalk a circle to mark the location of flowers, mere ripples in the leaves, etc. The chalk has the advantage of more easily eliminated at the end of the book.
