Cleaning Carpets

Sometimes carpet may smell bad because of that absorbed the smells of food, cooking and domestic animals, or it may just be dusty and dirty.

The simplest advice on how to avoid excessive mud on the carpet, is do not walk over it in shoes (but you probably know that already!).

And the best way to preserve the quality of your carpet is regular cleaning with a carpet cleaning machine and a weekly cleaning with dry absorbent. For best results, you can also carry out professional cleaning, which allows to remove the most persistent dirt and ingrained stains.

For general carpet cleaning, it is necessary to use detergent. This is suitable for the type of stains usually encountered. The costs of this procedure are minimal, and the necessary equipment – is your home vacuum cleaner.

The basis of this process of carpet cleaning is an interesting scientific phenomenon: by using a special detergent, dirt rises to the surface of the carpet, where it is easier to remove. Once you have spread over the surface of the carpet with a suitable detergent, it immediately begins to collect the dirt particles and dissolve them. Thus, when you then vacuumed your carpet, the dirt will be removed from its surface.

There are 4 main ways of cleaning carpets:

* Vacuuming with a special nozzle (in certain circumstances may be sufficient and such a clean, i.e. without the use of special shampoos for carpets and other cleaning products);

* Cleaning with dry absorbent (in this way to clean water is not used, so it is sometimes called “dry cleaning”);

* Steam cleaning (this is a favorite method of cleaning carpets among professionals, when detergent is dissolved in water, and then the resulting solution is applied to the carpet in the form of hot steam and vacuum, so the dirt particles associated with the particles of steam sucked from the bottom of the carpet, but require some caution to avoid excessive wetting of the carpet);

* Cleaning dry foam (with this method you must first vacuumed the carpet, then apply to the surface of shampoo to clean the carpets in the form of a foam with a minimum moisture content – about 10%, after which the carpet should be vacuumed once again, the mechanism of action of the detergent is about the same as and when cleaning steam; vacuumed the carpet is immediately after the distribution across the surface of the foam, to avoid excessive wetting).

Choosing the best method of cleaning carpets, it must be remembered that this depends on the type of carpet you want cleaned. The cleaning fluid and cleaning method chosen must be consistent with material that makes up your carpet.

Unfortunately, few people know the correct method of cleaning carpets, for example how often should it be cleaned and with what type of cleaner. Because of this, you should always seek professional advice or follow these simple tips depending
