Mailboxes

There are strict provisions in force in relation to the size and location of the mailbox. One of them is that the factor is no longer allowed to bring the mail to the door of the house if it is not located at the roadside.

The mailboxes must be large enough to receive without damaging a shipment unfolded size C4 (= 229 x 324 mm) and a thickness of 24 mm. The Post uses 230 x 30 mm as the standard for openness. The minimum height for the mailbox is 70 cm and the maximum allowed is 170 cm. The Post recommends a depth of 35 cm for the mailbox.
The number of your house and possibly the No box should be clearly displayed, preferably on the mail boxes. It must be visible from the highway. This information may also be useful for emergency services.

Another alternative is to install wall mount mailbox, which need to be considered in installing this type of mail box is the color of paint on the walls which will be affixed to the mailbox for example by adding a natural painting like butterflies, fruits, flowers, sunsets, the sky. This will increase the value of art from the mailbox.
