Easter Decorations

Making egg flower

Hardware (in stores creative hobbies):

  1. Styrofoam eggs
  2. acrylic painting pastel
  3. bread natural clay self-hardening modeling
  4. satin ribbons (width 5mm, length 12cm) of different colors (blue, pink, cream)
  5. glue tube

Director:

Take a piece of clay on the block (keep the rest wrapped in a cloth at the bottom of the fridge). The clay is worked like modeling clay.

Making flowers

Form small balls and flatten with your finger. With a small knife or scalpel, make 5 cuts on each disc to form the petals. Incise slightly each petal in the middle, near the heart of the flower, to give him relief.

Then, train other smaller balls for the hearts and apply them to the center of each flower.

Build and a multitude of small flowers, all the same size (about 1cm).

Painting:

Paint all the eggs with different colors in pastel shades: purple, blue, pink, green…

Comb the heart of flowers in yellow and the petals with bright tones (blue, moss green), other white, or pastel (same colors as eggs).

Installation:

When paint is dry, proceed with installation as follows: at the top of each egg, glue a satin ribbon folded in half (to form a loop) with a small flower on top.

Then decorate each egg by sticking flowers of many colors around or scattered.

Making chick’s fabric

Material:

  • remnants with different patterns
  • colored feathers
  • Yellow and red felt
  • raffia
  • padding
  • glue
  • moving eyes adhesives

Director:

Cut circles in the tissues of about 16 cm in diameter. Put as much padding as possible to the center to be closed (as alms). Tie with raffia thread, making a strong double knot, and that your chick ready to be decorated.

In the red felt, cut two identical peaks (height 3 cm, length 3.5 cm) and a crop (like a drop of 2 cm long). In the yellow felt, cut a triangle for the beak (1.5 cm side).

Installation:

Installation is very simple; the tricky thing is not to overflow the glue on the fabric.

Glue the two ridges on each other from the top, leave 5 mm bottom without glue. Fold the bottom of the ridge by folding the tabs outwards and use them on the top of the chicken, made with glue hold.

On the front of the chicken in the center of the ball, stick the crop and the spout on top. Paste moving eyes, for a humorous touch, or draw them with a marker on each side of the beak.
